Arnav Aggrawal, who was dejected upon not having taken up a course in engineering in spite of getting the second rank in IIT-JEE is now all smiles. He has topped the AIIMS PMT. While it was Arnav’s long cherished dream to be associated with AIIMS, he had also scored the first rank in all of Chandigarh, his hometown in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to all undergraduate medical colleges in the country.
Arnav was also the second rank holder in the entire country for the same test. Arnav’s aggregate percentage in his Higher Secondary Examination is 95.4. While Chandigarh has had the fortune of being home to three national toppers in the last five years at the AIIMS PMT examinations, Arnav is not the only bright kid in the region. Nishant Aggrawal from Patiala, who had taken up his coaching at Chandigarh, has achieved the sixth rank nationally in the same examination and the ninth rank in the NEET.
Apart from Nishant, Akshit Bhardwaj is the 44th national rank holder and he is at the 62nd rank in the NEET. The other students who made the city proud are Jaskaran Singh with a national rank of 65, Gurtej Saini (100), Siddharth Bajaj (113), Mudit Sharma (160), Shruti (491), Deepali (497) and Lakshya Tuteja (650) respectively.
Heartiest Congratulations to all the achievers from College Affairs.
