CLAT 2014 dates for UG have been announced. Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the National Law Universities (NLU) as a criterion for students to get admission into under graduate and post graduate courses (LL.B and LL.M). This year, CLAT is conducted by the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU). The decision for the CLAT 2014 was taken at the meeting of Vice Chancellors/Directors of 14 National Law Universities across India.
Aspirant must have passed 10th and plus two to appear for the CLAT exam. General category students need 45% marks where as SC/ST students should have scored 40% marks. Candidates appearing for the final year exam of plus two can also apply for the exam and they must submit the certificates at the time of admission. For the first time in the history of CLAT, the admission process and centralized counselling will be done in online mode.
The candidates can apply for the exam in both online and offline mode. In online mode, the aspirants can apply at the official website. In offline mode, candidates can get the application form and other details via registered/speed post. The application fee can also be paid in both online and offline modes. The CLAT 2014 exam will be conducted on May 11, 2014 and the duration of the exam is two hours.
The exam is conducted on five subjects namely - English including comprehension, General knowledge/ Current Affairs, Elementary Math ( Numerical Ability), Legal aptitude and Logical reasoning. CLAT is one of the toughest exams to crack in the country. There will be negative marks given for the each wrong answer. The complete details of CLAT 2014 will be announced in January, 2014.
